Sorry for the late reply, Zach. YES. You can absolutely add your own POI's. Download and install the NaviExtras toolbox from www.naviextras.com onto a PC. Insert your Insane NavEngine GPS card into your PC (you may need an adapter) and you can do all kinds of things through that tool from getting map updates or extras, to backing up/restoring your data, to adding custom POIs.
