Apple lightening cable
Apple lightening cable
Does anyone know if it is possible to run the newer style Apple lightening cable instead of the older style cable that is provided with the head unit? I really dont want to use an adapter if possible. Sine I have a case on my iphone the adapter won't work unless I take my phone out of it's case each time I want to connect it which is a little annoying.

Re: Apple lightening cable
Hey there!
At this time we do not offer a Lightning cable option for the JK1001. We have the 30-pin style connector so that you can use your JK1001 with a wide variety of models of iPod/Phone, including older models. There are a few options for adapters that may make it a little easier. I use an Otterbox Defender case on my iPhone 6+, and I use an adapter like the one pictured below so that I don't have to remove my Otterbox to listen to my Apple Music subscription via the iPod cable.
I hope this answered your question!
Thanks!
