How To Use IA Utility

Post by InSaNeAuDiOSupport5 » Wed Oct 17, 2018 8:18 am

IA Utility is a multi-purpose tool supporting your Insane Audio head unit. This app serves three functions as of this writing.
The navigation section allows you to reinstall Insane NavEngine for situations when the app has been removed, e.g. after a factory data reset. To reinstall the app, tap on the “Install Insane NavEngine” button.

A copy of the original maps is typically available on the microSD card, and should you need to recover it, tap on the “Reset Insane NavEngine” button and wait several minutes for it to complete.
If you encounter any issues here, please contact our support staff at https://insaneaudio.com/support.

While most apps work well with the head unit, some apps aren't coded properly and are not designed to adapt to different screen sizes. If you find that an app is locking you out with a full screen, you can try adjusting the DPI of the device.

It’s a good idea to reboot the head unit after adjusting these settings. Tap on the upper right options menu for a reboot.

We occasionally push out software updates and add-ons. To check what’s available for your head unit, you can access the updates section.

IA Utility,

Hey Insane Audio users! We’ve always recommended turning off some Google Background Services for great Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance. To turn off these features in the past, you would have to open your settings and take plenty of additional steps from there. Now, we’ve made it much easier to make sure you have these background services off and are getting great Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Here’s How.

IA Utility is Insane Audio's multi-purpose tool. We’ve recently added a short cut allowing you easy access to turn off your Google Back Ground Services. Getting the latest version of IA Utility is simple. Head over to the Google Play Store and type in IA Utility. You’ll have either the option to install or update. Press update to get the latest version of IA Utility.

Note: If you see install you’re more than likely on an older version of Insane Audio software and we recommend updating. You can find the update for your particular Insane Audio head unit here. https://insaneaudio.com/forum/viewforum ... 53305479bf

Once you’ve updated your IA Utility to the latest version open the app. When the app is open press the 3 lines in the upper left. Then tap Configure. Scroll down to privacy and follow the directions for each option.
