Recording with RockCam

Post by InsaneAudioSupport6 » Mon Aug 27, 2018 1:46 pm

Some of us don't have GoPros attached to our vehicles, but many of us do have cameras mounted at the front or rear or both. With your Insane Audio head unit, you can now record your camera feeds! With support for high-capacity microSD and USB storage, the new RockCam app now helps you capture your adventure on the road and on the trails. All you need is the latest software (v2.2 or later) for your head unit.

Insane Audio Software Updates

From the new RockCam screen, simply tap on it, and press the gear button.

By default, the recordings are stored on the internal storage in the Movies folder. We recommend using a microSD card or USB drive, so you can easily transfer the recordings to your computer. Select an appropriate storage device indicated by the capacity of the device.

Because you can easily fill up your SD cards with these recordings, the app is configured by default to keep only the latest 25 files and to limit each recording to one hour. If you insist, you can change it to save all recordings with no time limit.

If you'd like to record audio, you can turn on the microphone in the settings as well. To prevent skipping, we recommend turning off any music if you do record audio.

When you're done recording your adventures, share them with your friends using your favorite social media!
