Hi, all. We just realized that some of the first JL3001 units shipped from our factory have a setting by default that might result in it taking a bit longer then you'd like for the screen to switch back on after you are moving out of reverse. In other words, if you are in reverse.. .and viewing the backup camera... then you put the vehicle in drive... if you see an exclamation point and a few second delay before the screen goes back to normal.. then this is you.
Go to settings -> Car -> Factory settings (password is "126") -> click on the Other tab. In there, you'll see an option to Switch Front Camera After reverse. Set that to disable. This setting is designed to automatically flip over to your front camera (you can set how long it stays there). But if you don't yet have a front facing camera then you should disable this feature so it will go straight from your backup camera back to the display.
Please note that this part of your JL3001 settings is password protected for a reason - there are a few settings in there that can cause issues if set incorrectly so please be careful while in there so not to inadvertantly change any other settings.
By the way.. for those of you who don't yet have a front facing rock camera you can always add one with Insane Audio! We make a few cameras that are high quality and reasonably priced. Find out more here - https://insaneaudio.com/products/accessories/
We hope that helps!
