Re: software update
Hey!
We are happy to see you excited for the JL3001! And it is justified as Insane Audio’s JL3001 is the most advanced head unit ever built and we are quite proud of this product. If you didn’t already know, with Insane Audio, you get lifetime technical support and a company that stands behind everything we build 100%.
We are working on a future software update, but we can’t give you an exact timeframe because it won’t be released until we’re confident it’s ready for primetime (as we do with all our products and features).
We build the best products in the world and we stand by them no matter what. Part of making sure our customers have an excellent experience is extensive testing before release.
We apologize for that we can’t give you a specific release date, but always remember you’ve got a 3-year warranty and lifetime customer support 7 days a week. We’re here to make sure you have an excellent experience and we’re not going anywhere

Can you at least tease us with some of the things you are working on? Its been a pretty big span without an update and there are a few things that need to be fixed.

There are a lot of things that need to be fixed. I'm to the point to getting rid of this thing if I could get someone to give me $500 for it. This radio is complete crap and the support is terrible. No music apps work on this thing and support tells me every time that they have never seen my issue or they blame it on the app.

I'm not sure what issues you are having with music apps? I have used Google Play Music (before it was end of life) and now use You Tube Music, Plexamp, Pocket Casts (Pod Casts). The Built in Player works well also.
Have you tried a factory reset and reloading the apps?

I have tried a factory reset twice. I use You Tube music, Pandora, and Sirius XM. They all do the same thing. Once I'm listening to music within 2 to 3 minutes the volume will go down to one and then back to where I have it. It will do this 3 times. It only happens on streaming apps. The radio, bluetooth and music that I have stored do not do that. I say the support is crap because I was told by an "engineer" that a feature was there only for him to discover that after a 10 minute phone conversation that it has not been released yet.rdecker692000 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 9:35 amI'm not sure what issues you are having with music apps? I am right there with you. I dumped it after only a few months. Technical support is only as good as the script the people are using to when they send you an email. They would not even look into an app that would not work on their machine but works on every other. They kept saying get with the developer, but it turns out it's the JL3001 that is the problem. It was a horrible purchase!!!! Many in my jeep club steered away from it when they saw how it performed in my jeep.detboydave wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 6:21 amThere are a lot of things that need to be fixed.
