To see if you need this update, go to the Settings app, and scroll down to "About machine". If your build number begins with rk, then you're up to date. Otherwise, your build number will start with px5-userdebug 6.0.1 and end with a date code. This build will update you to
px5-userdebug 6.0.1 MXC89L user.ia.tj1002.20181022
Instructions
To apply this software, you’ll need a microSD card formatted in FAT32. There is a compressed file available here
Software Update (796 MB)
Right-click on the link above and "save as" to somewhere locally on your computer. Once you’ve downloaded the file, unzip it, and then you'll obtain a file called "update.img". Copy it over to that microSD card. Remember, your microSD card needs to be formatted as FAT32!
Then you’ll want to go out to your vehicle. We recommend running your engine to preserve your battery, in case you're sitting in your vehicle for an extended amount of time. Make sure Insane NavEngine has been shut down gracefully (i.e. exit the app by pressing the power icon from the main menu).

Remove your Insane NavEngine GPS card from the GPS slot, and insert your microSD card with the software update file. A dialog box should automatically pop up asking you to update your software. Alternatively, you can also go to Settings > About Machine, and then tap on "System Updates".

Note: If your software build number is before 20180823, or if your head unit never connects to Wi-Fi , then we strongly recommend doing a full wipe and starting clean by checking the "wipe data and format flash" option, since it's fairly easy to reinstall your apps from the Play Store. If you uncheck the box, you can retain your settings and data, but certain apps you previously installed might not cooperate with the update process. If you experience any "optimizing" issues, please contact us to reset the head unit.
When the system is all done with the update, remove your update microSD card, and re-insert your Insane NavEngine GPS card.
Then, you’ll want to verify that you’ve updated the software correctly. Go to "About machine" under Settings, and verify that your build number is
px5-userdebug 6.0.1 MXC89L user.ia.tj1002.20181022
If you chose to "wipe data and format flash", then you'll need to re-install Insane NavEngine. First, go to Settings > Security, and check the "Unknown sources" option. Then go to the App drawer, and open IA Utility. There will be a button to install Insane NavEngine.

A clean install will also clear the Torque settings, and you'll need to re-pair your OBDII adapter. Visit this page for instructions.
