Re: Alpine Premium sound / jk2001 question

Insane Audio’s JK2001 does send CanBus codes to control the amplifier on an OEM Alpine setup, however, you can’t adjust gain or crossover settings. These are not configurable with your setup. We do have a 9 band EQ and can also adjust fade and balance.

Hope that helps!

Re: Screen Protector

Hey shawnT, When we ship our products, they usually ship out with TWO screen protectors. The first screen protector does not go all the way to the edge of the screen and has a small tab on one of the corners. This screen protector is meant to be removed upon install. The second screen protector goes...

Re: Audio issues.

Hi Fu7iL3, This is a somewhat complex setup. Its rare to have someone have the OEM alpine system with a sub, but then decide to go with aftermarket speakers and amps. Your Jeep’s ECU (computer) thinks it has the Alpine system so your JK2001 is going to send CanBus codes to communicate with that. Thi...

Re: Radio tuner

Hi jkmayle, For your AM/FM tuner reception, please make sure the AM/FM antenna adapter is connected to the AM/FM antenna (white plug) not satellite radio antenna (yellow plug) inside your dash. Check out page 10 of the JK2001 install guide here: https://insaneaudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Ins...

Re: Adding a hotspot

Hi Slowpoke2008. We don’t recommend trying to use a USB modem as that may be tough to configure and get to work. Why not just use a MiFi (personal hotspot) and leave it in the glovebox? That way, you have WiFi for your Insane Audio head unit as well as other devices in the vehicle. There are lots of...

Re: RCA connections

Hi Slowpoke2008,

There are lots of marine amplifiers available on the market, but Insane Audio doesn’t recommend any specific brand or model.

A 5 channel amp will certainly work, but you can also have a separate amplifier for your sub and a separate one for your mains.

Hope this helps!

Re: Back up camera

Hi ACOAKLEY, The yellow warning sign means that the RockCam app is not receiving images from the camera. Please check your wiring again: Your rear camera should be connected to the "REAR CAM" or "CAM IN" RCA port and should be powered with the RockCam Power / GND wires. If your backup camera engages...

Re: Back up camera

Hi ACOAKLEY,

When you open the RockCam app, please try toggling between the front and the rear view cameras by tapping on the button on the upper left of the RockCam app (camera icon).

I think you tapped on the upper right hand side button, which mirrors the camera feed. :)

Hope this helps!
