Re: Can't hear any sound through the speakers

Well I am back. Unplugged and plugged it back in and it didnt work. Then I plugged in the OEM radio and the radio seemed to work. So I plugged the JK1001 back in and it worked again. So its working now. Not sure what went wrong. But now I have to figure out how to reinstall everything. With the res...

Re: GPS Signal - Continually Searching

You know - I just HATE IT when you go out of your way to try to help people, then they never report back if it got fixed, and how.

Re: Can't hear any sound through the speakers

Since yesterday, my JK1001 stopped putting out volume. The JK1001 turns on, yet I cannot hear any sound through the speakers regardless of which input it is in. Radio cannot be heard either. Same for bluetooth music or calling. I checked the fuses and they are all good. I made sure that there wasn'...

Re: Suddenly it just won't turn on

I sent a mail to insaneaudios tech support. I disassembled the dash, unmounted the head unit, checked all back connections, the fuse,... Everything was OK. The head unit has been taken care of like a child. No mud, no water, just a calm mall-crawling life. I didnt expect it to fail like this. Ill w...

Re: Suddenly it just won't turn on

I just hate it when someone has an interesting problem, and you go out of your way to help them, and then you never hear the outcome. Frustrating, as everyone could learn from the answer.

Re: JK 2001 rear camera

I installed the JK2001 per the instructions related to the JK1001 since there are not any updated instructions for the new model that I see. I followed the directions to install a rear view camera so it would operate when I go into reverse. It will not work unless I go into the rock cam app and sel...

Re: freezing

my wife's insane audio FJ1001 is frozen. This has happened a lot recently. And the screen does not turn off. How do I fix this radio? It is getting really old! Well, FWIW, I do not have an FJ. But digital devices do not like dirty power or intermittent connections on lines. I would start with clean...

Got a new JK2001? Don't forget......

Howdy all. If like me you have a new JK2001, before you install it -CAREFULLY- remove the GPS chip, and run it through Navi-Extras. Overall it is pretty painless to do. I was reluctant to do it, but I really should not have worried. Although I had several back-up files from my old JK1001, when I plu...
