Wireless Car Play on JK2001 - Easy Install

About a year ago I bought a dongle off amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1M8C34/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to add wireless carplay (and wired android-auto) to android based head units, and promptly stuck it in the glovebox and forgot to install it. It was only 30 bu...

Any updates coming soon?

I check in semi-regularly to see if there are any updates pending. Would love the option to choose a different music player as default, better support for large SD cards (tends to hang up for a bit when first starting up), may be related to why after a short stop that doesn't get a full-shutdown i h...

Re: Wire Routing for BU Camera

I ran mine under the carpet on the passenger side, then the plastic cover on the rear passenger corner, down into the area where the jack is stored. The backup camera itself I connected to the underside of my trailer receiver, and ran the wires through the plug at the bottom (just drilled a hole the...

Re: JK2001 v1.5 is available now!

Any luck with a changelog? I'd also be curious as to what changes are expected in the Q2 release mentioned. I vaguely recall an old post saying that you guys were working on adding traffic to the Nav app (desperately needed, without live traffic it's useless to me on-road). Also the ability to contr...

Re: JK 2001 rear camera

I'm having the same issue. When I shift into reverse nothing happens, but if I turn rock camera on reverse and shift into reverse it shows up. I have the reverse bullet connectors connected, the video camera gets power from reverse lights and is connected to the purple wired Yello connector... Nuffi...

Re: Upgrade your JK1001 to Insane Audio's new JK2001!

Bah, just came on to see if there have been any software updates, only to see that not 9nly is there a new system out but I missed the cutoff... Did you guys send out an email that I missed or did I just need to be more active? Is there any chance of a second window? I've had some issues with the 10...

Re: WiFi

Do you know HOW to turn on wifi in android?

Swipe down the top bar, there's a wifi button top of the screen. If you tap it, it will turn on/off, if you long press it will take you to the wifi settings.

Does that help at all, or is the wifi on but no SSID's are showing?

Seconded. The version of google maps we're limited to is pretty ugly. As much as I like NaviEngine for offroad, the lack of real-time traffic is a killer.

Re: Night mode for screen

Huh.

Never saw that before.

I'd expect that with IFTTT or Tasker App Factory you could probably set it up to MAKE a button that does that, might be worth looking into.

Re: Night mode for screen

I usually just drag down the notification bar, hit brightness, and drag the slider.

Does night mode do anything other than change the brightness?
